East London will be the center of some great cycling action during Prudential RideLondon 29-31 July. Check out the Ride London website for details.
This year the three day cycling festival kicks off on Friday, 29 July from 1pm-9pm at the Lee Valley VeloPark in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix, a series of BMX, handcycle and youth races. There will also be lots of cycle themed festival activities taking place for all the family.
On Saturday 30 July the Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle, Prudential RideLondon Classique and Brompton World Championship events take place in central London only (City of London and City of Westminster).
On Sunday 31 July amateur cyclists in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 and 46 will depart Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park between 6am and 9.30am. There will be quite a few road closures in and around our area (see below) so you will need to plan travel in advance.
Some bus services will need to be diverted temporarily, suspended or will terminate earlier than usual. Some stops may also be temporarily relocated. Check out www.tfl.gov.uk for real time travel information and the TfL journey planner
