Opening hours:

Visions in the Nunnery is a showcase of contemporary moving image and performance work, which returns to the Nunnery Gallery for a special celebratory 10th edition this October.

The first public Thursday viewing: Thurs 6 Oct, 6-9pm RSVP
Frieze East End Night, with performance: Sat 8 October, 6-10pm

The exhibition will showcase more than 100 artists’ work in a six-part programme including 12 events featuring live performances in the gallery and courtyard.

The first London showing of Dryden Goodwin’s work Poised, originally commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella, will open the exhibition during Frieze week. A special event for Frieze’s East End Night will close the first week, featuring Patrick Simkins’ live and interactive performance Dance and Draw.

Following the Nunnery Gallery’s winning of the Connect Competition to work with Susan Hiller, Visions will also be part of the Museums at Night festival at the end of October, premiering a new installation from film duo Webb-Ellis, whose work follows a community pilgrimage inspired by Hiller’s Homage to Joseph Beuys series.
