The Roman Road Neighbourhood Forum is leading a neighbourhood plan to help improve the high street and the area it serves in Bow. They’d like your input to make sure it represents the needs of all of the community.
You can find out more on the website, but in very simple terms, a neighbourhood plan is:
- A document that sets out planning policies for the neighbourhood. Planning policies are used to decide whether to approve planning applications
- Written by the local community, the people who know and love the area, rather than the Local Planning Authority
- A powerful tool to make sure the community gets the right types of development, in the right place.
The forum wants to finish the initial public consultation soon, so they can submit an application for the proposed area to Tower Hamlets Council by the end of October.
How you can get involved:
- Have your say: take five minutes and use their interactive online comment tool to say what you like and dislike about Roman Road.
- Join the Forum: You could also join the Forum to meet like-minded local people and help develop and deliver Roman Road’s Neighbourhood Plan
