Friends of Bow Primary* has arranged a public consultation meeting with Tower Hamlets Mayor John Biggs about the need for a new primary school in Bow . There are plans to use the old Bow Boy’s School site off Fairfield Road for this purpose, but exactly when it will open is still up in the air.
When: Wednesday 26 October from 11.30am – 12.30am
Where: Bow Baptist Church, 1 Payne Road (right next to McDonald’s at Bow Flyover)
RSVP if you can to let Friends of Bow Primary know you are coming to get a rough idea of numbers: friendsofbowprimary@gmail.com
At this meeting the group will present the data they have collected to support their case for the new school to open in 2018. It’s also a chance to show how well the community can support the new school when it opens, and to ask questions.
Children are welcome, as are all local residents interested in the school, so please bring along friends and family. Tea and coffee will be provided, and the building is wheelchair and buggy accessible, with baby changing facilities.
* Friends of Bow Primary is a group of local people who want to support the development of this new primary school by drawing on the resources, ideas and skills of the local community. Once it’s open, we hope to enrich what the school can offer pupils and the wider community.
