“Trick or treat” trips around the neighbourhood are becoming an increasingly popular way for local kids to celebrate Halloween.
But while many people are happy to open their doors and dish out sweets to ghosts, witches and other creepy characters, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
For some vulnerable or older members of the community it can be distressing or confusing if strangers show up at the door unannounced demanding candy.
So … we’ve come up with these two posters so you can either:
- Show your support and make it clear trick or treaters are welcome at your home halloween-poster_welcome
- Let them know that you’d rather not be disturbed on 31 October. halloween-poster_no-thanks
We live in a pretty safe community, but FCARA strongly recommends that, unless accompanied by an adult, children only visit the homes of people they know.
