Following the success of last year’s event, we’ll be holding another community picnic in Grove Hall Park this year.
BUT… this year, so we don’t clash with England’s game against Panama in the World Cup (for those who care about such things), we will hold the event on the Saturday – June 23 – NOT the Sunday.
This event is put on by volunteers, and we’d love it if more of you could help out this year. We need people to help with:
- Distributing fliers before the event
- Helping to set up on the morning of the event (tables, marquee, decorations, area for races)
- Organising and running some games (sack race, egg and spoon race – anything you like, really)
- Face-painting, so Rachel W gets a breather!
- Post-event cleanup
If anyone can help out with money to pay for prizes and printing fliers – or can find a bit of local sponsorship to help us – that would also be great.
To volunteer, simply fill out the form below, saying what you’d be interested in helping with, and we’ll be in touch nearer the time.
