Fly-tipping Alert: Dumping in Wrexham Road

Some time on Tuesday, 26 August a load of building waste was dumped at the east end of Wrexham Road/Baldock Street by the Crossrail site.
This might be a one-off but if you spot someone fly-tipping in the area again, don’t approach them.  Instead try to note down their appearance, any details of the vehicle involved and what was dumped and report it to Tower Hamlets Council. You can call the Find it, Fix It Team via Streetline on 0207 364 5004 or email generalenquiries@towerhamlets.gov.uk
The council takes fly tipping very seriously and it’s an offence that carries a maximum penalty of up to £50,000.
The good news is that the phone line goes through to a human being who will take details of the rubbish but doesn’t seem that concerned about who is phoning it in. The council aims to have fly-tipped rubbish collected by the end of the next working day.
