Sun & Fun At The Third Annual Grove Hall Park Picnic

We had fantastic weather and a great turnout for this year’s Grove Hall Park Great Get-Together.

Around 150 people attended over the course of the day, including a few new faces. Thanks to everyone who donated – we raised £70 for the residents’ association. We’ll use this money for our regular meeting room hire, and to help fund next year’s event.

And also thanks to all those who bought a cup of Maggie’s citrus refresher – she raised almost £30 which she plans to donate to a Syrian charity focused on children.

There are also lots of people who deserve a special mention  for helping out in all sorts of ways to make this year’s event such a success: Jinny and Michael for putting up posters, David & Aline for distributing the fliers, Sheena and Rachel C & Jo for the gazebos (yet again) and the Rice family for the use of the trestle tables. Thanks also to Michael and Vanessa for helping set up and clean up. And also to Greg for the slack line and Lisa for the huge stash of eggs for the egg and spoon races. Finally, Lucy and Rachel W deserve a medal for their amazing face painting efforts, as do Rachel B and Martin for their sterling work as bake-off judges. Lucy is doing face painting professionally now: her website is: https://www.supernovafaces.com/

Here are a few photos from the day -if you have any more, email info@fcara.org.uk and we will add them to the gallery. If you click on an individual image, you view these as larger images.

See you in 2019!
