Liveable Streets temporary changes to road layout – July 13-21

Thanks to feedbackfrom residents as part of the Liveable Streets programme, Tower Hamlets Council is testing some changes to road layouts in the Bow area.

The trial will be held from Saturday 13 July to Sunday 21 July, with the following changes in place during that time:

  • Coborn Road will be closed to vehicles between Tredegar Rd and Malmesbury Rd
  • AntilRd will be closed east of the junction with Lyal Rd
  • Antil Rd will be made two-way between Selwyn Rd and Lyal Rd
  • You’ll be able to turn right from Tredegar Rd into Coborn Rd
  • A gate which will allow only buses through will be in place on Tredegar Rd between Fairfield and Parnell Rd from 7am-8pm every day.

The council would like feedback during the trial via its online survey at www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/liveablestreets.  There’s also a drop-in session from 5pm-9pm this Tuesday, 9 July at the Idea Store Bow in Gladstone Place if you would like to ask questions in person.

The trial will help the council understand the effects the changes have on the road network. Watch out for events and activities to encourage us to take advantage of lower traffic in the Bow area.
