Crossrail: End in sight?

IMG_0012Dragados-Sisk and Crossrail have just announced plans to close the Ham and Wick sewer  shafts at the bottom of Wrexham Road. Work is to start Monday 19 January, and should be finished by June 2015.

Most of the work will happen from Wick Lane, but there will be some lorry movement along Wrexham Road between 8am and 6pm weekdays, and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Lorries will not operate during school run times.

There will be some 24 hour working on the sewers, but Dragon – Sisk will notify residents in advance (these works will be weather dependent).

Confirmation has also been provided that the works to the sewer pipelines in Bow Road (at Fairfield Road), and the gas mains running along the footpaths in Fairfield and Bow Roads, is now complete.
