Work started on upgrading Cycle Superhighway 2 from Bow Roundabout to Aldgate on 9 February and will last until spring 2016.

Separate construction phases are planned, each affecting different sections of the route:

• Mile End Road and Bow Road between Harford Street and Harley Grove: February – August 2015
• Whitechapel Road between Commercial Road and Cambridge Heath Road: February – October 2015
• Mile End Road between Cambridge Heath Road and Harford Street: June 2015 – April 2016
• Bow Road between Harley Grove and Bow roundabout: August 2015 – February 2016
• Whitechapel High Street by Aldgate East station: December 2015 – April 2016

Lane closures and parking, loading and turning restrictions will be in place at different times along the route and in the wider area, including the approaches to the route. See the TFL website for details.
