It will be no suprise to regular readers of this website that, yet again, work to close the Ham & Wick sewer shafts in the carpark at the end of Wrexham Road have been delayed.
Work finally started on 26 February and so now Dragados-Sisk expect the work to be finished at the end of July, versus the end of June in the last note we all received.
So, what does this mean? They’ll be working from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays (with an hour at each end of the day to prepare and close the works). For three weeks (probably when it gets warm and we all want to fling the windows open) they’ll be working 24 hours a day.
We can also expect lorries up and down the road, but not during the school run hours (9am-10am and 3pm-4pm). From Monday, 23 March to Wednesday, 25 March the north and southbound outside lanes of the A12 will also be closed from 10pm-5am for sewer access.
Someone from Dragados-Sisk will probably be at the next FCARA meeting to update us again.
