Fun And Games At The Grove Hall Park Big Lunch 2016

“Rain failed to dampen spirits” is probably one of the most over-used introductory paragraphs in journalism, but in the case of  the residents’ association (FCARA) Grove Hall Park Big Lunch on Sunday 12 June, it’s true!

Thanks to all those who braved the rain and came along – it just shows there’s no such thing as bad weather when a bunch of great people get together. Next year hopefully it will be more “summery,” but we’ll also try to come up with a wet-weather venue as an alternative.

A super-big thanks to all those who helped out in so many ways and made the event a success, including Rachel E for her face-painting skills (and tent), Sheena for the marquee (and Tim for helping put it up in the pouring rain), the Rice family for tables and brollies, and Michael & Lisa for prizes (and Doreen too) and for helping with posters. Thanks also on that front to Jinny and Diana. David and Aline distributed the flyers and Diana also provided games on the day for young and old… Although some might not thank her for the rather incriminating pig-shimmying photos in our gallery below!

If you have other photos you’d like to share, email them to info@fcara.org.uk and we’ll add them.
